FLEX industry partners, SiRRAN and ip.access won the Small Cell Industry Award in the category of Social Impact!
The Small Cell Forum, Small Cell Industry Awards are held annually, with entries from across the entire ecosystem. Entries are judged independently of the Small Cell Forum by a panel of distinguished analysts, journalists and industry experts.
SiRRAN and ip.access submitted a joint entry for the award category of Social Impact, for their involvement in FLEX project focusing on the use of the SiRRAN EPC and the ip.access LTE small cells within the project. The content of the submission included a description of the project and videos of the FLEX testbeds being used (kindly supplied by iMinds and UTH). SiRRAN and ip.access's entry was shortlisted, along with two other entries from big names in the communications industry, namely Radisys and Cisco & Softbank, and the details were published on the Small Cell Forum website and SiRRAN’s own website.
At the awards ceremony on 10th June, it was announced that SiRRAN and ip.access had won the award in Social Impact category, which gave great visibility for the FLEX project within the small cells industry. The award winners are publicly announced on the Small Cells Forum website, which will continue to create interest in the project from within our industry and customers, and it will serve as recognition for what has been achieved by all of the FLEX project partners.
